Western Australia sees warmest September on record
Not only did Perth see the warmest September on record and the driest in 42 years but the state of Western Australia also saw the warmest September on record according to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology(BOM). Large parts of the state also experienced their driest September on record.
The state experienced the warmest September on record in terms of mean maximum temperature being 2.81 °C above average.
The state has also seen the warmest year to date on record in terms of mean maximum temperature beating the previous record set in 2005. 2.13 °C above average this year, 1.45°C in 2005.
