Perth sees wettest July day in 20 years

The official Perth Metro (Mt Lawley site) station has seen the wettest July climatological day in 20 years as some 44.6 mm of rain fell in the 24 hours to 9 AM this morning.
On July 30 2001, some 88.8 mm of rain fell at the Mt Lawley site. The highest daily July rainfall on record at the official Perth Metro site was 95.0 mm on July 29 1987.
