Perth has seen the coldest day this early in the year in 20 years, that is since May 2001 and the coldest May day since May 30 2013 as the maximum temperature at Perth Metro today was only 14.7°C.
This was due to the cold air mass over the region with frequent showers.
Bluff Knoll in the south of the state saw their first snow of the year.
In fact, it was Perth's coldest day since August 3 2020 which was then Perth's coldest August day in 52 years with a maximum temperature of only 12.1°C.
