Crazy:Siberian Arctic area the hottest east of 115° in infrared satellite observations

In a crazy development, infrared satellite images at 04:19 UTC today show that the hottest area east of 115°, from the north pole right through the south pole, by ground temperature detected is over the Siberian Arctic.
Weather model output does indeed suggest the possibility that this was genuinely the case.
Other reasons for this occurrence on infrared satellite detection could be cloud cover over hotter areas.
