Perth has seen the warmest day on record this early in Spring with a maximum of 29.7˚C beating the previous record warmest for the first 7 days of spring of 28.4˚C set on both September 2 1981 and September 6 1916.
This comes just 5 days after the coldest spring day since September 2009.
It is also the second earliest 29˚C+ maximum day on record after 30.0˚C on August 28 2019.
