Beijing sees warmest September on record
Beijing, China has seen the warmest September on record with a mean temperature of 23.1 °C , beating the previous record set in September 2017 of 23.0 °C . The mean maximum temperature this September was 28.9 °C and the mean minimum temperature was 17.3 °C . The mean temperature in September is on average, 20.3 °C , 25.8 °C for the mean maximum and 14.8 Degrees Celsius for the mean minimum.
On September 8 this year, Beijing saw the hottest ever September and autumn day as temperatures climbed to 35.9 °C beating the record set in September 2000. Temperatures at the airport that day reached an even higher 37 °C .
Beijing also saw the last 11 days of September having a maximum temperature above 27°C and this is continuing into October is expected to be 14 consecutive days!
