Perth sees coldest June in 26 years

The official Perth climate station of Perth Airport has seen the coldest June in 26 years, that is since June 1995 by mean temperature.
This comes as this June had both below average mean maximum temperatures as well as mean minimum temperature.
It was also the Mt Lawley site's coldest June by mean temperature since June 1995 and the coldest June by mean maximum temperature since June 2016 and by mean minimum temperature since June 2010.
The Mt Lawley site has seen the longest spell of minimum temperatures below 5°C in June since June 2010 as the minimum temperature was below 5°C for some 5 consecutive days.
The minimum temperature was 1.9°C on the 22nd, 2.8°C on the 23rd, 3.4°C on the 24th, 2.7°C on the 25th and 1.1°C on the 26th.
The Mt Lawley site had seen the coldest June morning since June 26 2010 (same date, 11 years ago) as temperatures dipped to 1.1°C.
Perth Airport saw the highest number of consecutive days (2) with a minimum temperature below 1°C in June on record, on the 22nd and on the 23rd with several draws including the latest being in June 2010.Records date back to 1943.
Temperatures at Jandakot dipped to 0.1°C on the 22nd and 0.2°C on the 26th.
The Perth suburb of Wattleup saw a minimum temperature of -0.9°C on the 26th according to DAFWA data.The station is only around 6 km away from the coast but is located in a hollow region with cold air drainage.
Temperatures at Jarrahdale located around 25 km away from the Perth suburb of Armadale dipped to -2.3°C on the morning of the 26th and also saw 5 consecutive days with the minimum temperature below freezing.The station is located in a valley with cold air drainage.
